MBA Monthly Meeting Minutes, January 19th, 2016

Call to order/introductions: The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm. Attendees introduced themselves.
Approved November 2015 minutes: Minutes were approved unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: $12,613 bank balance as of 12/31/2015. 2015 MBA revenue increased by 38.1% and expenses increased by 21.5%. Grant application for 2016 is $10K. Taste of Morena will be pre-funded and expenses reimbursed when grant funds are received. BID Council approved 2015/2016 Grant funds for new MBA Banners & Mobile App costs. Funds need to be spent by June 2016. MBA is compliant with tax Filing 990.
A. MBA “Holiday” Mixer, December 16th-sponsored by US Bank with a $500 donation
B. MBA website is up & running; emails will be sent to the Morena District Businesses
C. MBA APP promotion campaign to monthly highlight a local Business is still in progress
D. 2016 Morena District Street Banner Community Photo Shoot is scheduled for February 18th
E. 2016 MBA Monthly Meeting/Mixer proposed schedule-see MBA website for listing
F. 2016 Taste of Morena is Wednesday, April 13th, 5-9:30pm. Suggestions made for on-line registration with an option to donate to a local charity.
