Rock & Roll Marathon!

Rock & Roll Marathon!

Rock & Roll Marathon!

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series makes running fun. Each year, more athletes participate in Rock ‘n’ Roll running events than any other running series in the United States.

What started as a simple idea in 1998 – a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant – soon transformed the running landscape igniting the second running boom.

Drivers are encouraged to adjust travel time within and around the race course.

  • The Synchrony Financial Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon & 1/2 Marathon and Saturday 5K will bring more than 30,000 runners and walkers to San Diego, in addition to tens of thousands of spectators, family and friends.
  • To get the most out of your weekend and minimize stress, be aware of the road closures in your area and plan ahead for an alternate route or added travel time.
  • Join the festivities! San Diego residents are encouraged to visit the free Health & Fitness Expo at the San Diego Convention Center, volunteer during race weekend and/or line the course to cheer runners.
  • Returning in 2017, a 5K will take place on Saturday, June 3 at Balboa Park. Most of the road closures will be inside the Park. Minimal closures will take place on 6th Avenue.

Most road closures and detours on Sunday will be in effect between the hours of 5:00 am and 2:30 pm. At 5:00 am, Police and event personnel will implement a soft closure along the entire race course. The marathon and 1/2 marathon begin at 6:15 am. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis as soon as the last participant has passed and all course support materials have been removed. Please review the road closure grid and course map for more information. Residents and businesses located near the race course are urged to plan ahead and to be aware of road closure schedules and alternate access routes.

On Sunday, freeway and ramp closures associated with the courses may impact your travel on race day. Please note, southbound SR-163 will remain OPEN to I-5. Freeway/ramp closures and times are subject to change. Please review our freeway and ramp closure grid for more information.

The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce Cordially Invites You: Business/Community Mixer

The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce Cordially Invites You

The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce will host its first Multi-Organization Business/Community Mixer

Wednesday May 31st, 2017  From 6pm - 8pm
Clairemont Lutheran Church
4271 Clairemont Drive
San Diego, CA  92117

This community Mixer is for the benefit of all who reside, work, play, and have businesses in Clairemont.
The "Mixer" brings both community and business together as a way to explore each other:  the products, services, restaurants, educational services, schools, and wide variety of companies and services that are available for you in the community of Clairemont.

On the other hand, since Clairemont has a huge diversity of residents from all types of backgrounds, this gives our local businesses a chance to get to know the residents.

It is an opportunity for businesses to meet the ever changing needs and demands of our community.

If you are a school , non-profit, or an organization looking for fundraising opportunities, this is an opportunity to help connect you to that institution which may help fund or sponsor your special event. Are you planning a special event? Come talk with the local companies and organizations face to face that may provide those services you require.
The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce is changing how it conducts its business to meet the
ever changing demands of our local businesses and customers.
In the past, the Chamber held monthly business meetings to promote their services to each other as a way to market their specific service.

These Business/Community mixers give you a one stop shop to find that product or service you are looking for: "Face to Face" or by looking up that service on the Clairemont Chamber of Commerce website:
www.clairemontchamber .com
With the growth and expansion of our community and the new course the Chamber is taking, the Clairemont Chamber of Commerce is looking for local businesses to join.

Experience the exciting new direction the Chamber has taken. The Chamber will be a more community based organization while upholding its business traditions, being involved in community events, supporting education, and most of all serving you: Clairemont.
Co-Hosting organizations are: Clairemont Chamber, Clairemont Hills Kiwanis, Clairemont Mesa Education Foundation, Clairemont Town Council, and the Morena Business Association.

VIP Guests: Councilman Chris Cates, Councilmember Lorie Zapf
