New Secretary, Amber Wetzig, Elected to Executive Committee

At the March 20, 2007 MBA meeting, Nevin Kleege announced that Bruce Smart has asked to step down as Secretary of the Morena Business Association due to an increased workload and additional responsibilities he is now carrying at work.

Nominations for Secretary were offered by MBA members present at the meeting. Amber Wetzig-Johnson of Sedlack Development Company was nominated and elected unanimously to replace Bruce as Secretary of the Morena Business Association and Executive Committee.

Amber received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. She earned her Teaching Credential at Towson State University, and she earned a Master of Arts in Education at San Diego State University. She spent 10 years teaching as a Secondary Teacher, and three years ago she joined her family's Real Estate Management and Development business. Amber has lived in Bay Park for nine years. Her husband has lived here for 37 years. Amber's depth of experience and knowledge of our community will be a significant contribution to our MBA team.

We want to thank Bruce Smart for his time, talent, advice, and contributions as Secretary. He will be missed. We are pleased to have Amber as our new Secretary, and we believe that she will be a strong replacement for Bruce and a valuable resource for the MBA Executive Committee.
